You have quite the brood! How many dogs do you have now? Do they really all get along well?

What made you decide to get your newest addition from a breeder rather than a shelter?

There are six in the house now, four are mine. Sandy is now my bf’s father’s dog – they bonded so deeply I couldn’t imagine separating them. Sibley in my bf’s sister’s dog. The rest are mine. They do all get along with each other. Sand is still getting used to the new Basset – officially named The Dude – but it won’t be long.

I was approached by his breeder at the hound show and went to check him out. He can’t be shown in conformation b/c his bite is not perfect and she wanted a working home for him. I’m excited about the upcoming adventure that is having an intact dog in the house. Will I go with a breeder again when it’s time for my next dog – I don’t know. Before Dude came along I was looking at Midwest Border Collie Rescue.
