Hey guys. I found this video and I’d thought it was really helpful. I really like how they show two different ways to lead belay.

Personally, I’ve never been comfortable lead belaying on a Grigri mainly because I heard so many different ways/opinions on how to do it. So it’s nice to see how petzl thinks you should use their gear.

Does anyone know other outdoor places in N. America I can go climbing during the hot summer? Places where the heat and humidity are not an issue?

I know of BC Squamish and I’ve heard of places in Utah, but is there anywhere else where the climbing conditions aren’t so bad?

So climbing season’s upon us and we should start planning some climbing trips. My April’s gone, but I might be able to do a weekend trip in either March and/or May.

I’m thinking either sport at the Red or bouldering at So Ill. (I don’t have the $$ for trips that would entail me flying so let’s keep this discussion purely to driveable trips)

Last week saw Dokko sending the german tape problem (V4ish) on the right side of the 40 wall. Also, Gerry and Max sent the Red V4/5 problem of the far right of the 40.

This week, Dokko’s working on the white V4 and the blue/yellow V4/5.

I’ll probably be at HP Tues, Wed, Friday this week. After 4 days off, I have to be able to get my projects.
