Hey guys. I found this video and I’d thought it was really helpful. I really like how they show two different ways to lead belay.
Personally, I’ve never been comfortable lead belaying on a Grigri mainly because I heard so many different ways/opinions on how to do it. So it’s nice to see how petzl thinks you should use their gear.
This is great except for all the “future people” in white. Imagine one day we climb mountains in white in white suits with white gloves.
Seriously I think This is a good video. I’m sure I’ve belayed wrong with my new grigri. I never thought to use that rolled metal edge as a catch to hold the cam pulley down. Nice tip. Can’t wait to try it. Nice find nuge.
