resoling recomendations

Can anyone recommend a good place to get my Sportiva’s resoled? I would like to have them done by the end of the month so i have them for my trip down to RRG.

I’ve always had good work done at www.yosemitebum.com and they’re pretty quick.

I’ve had 5 or 6 pairs resoled by The Friction Fix and have been pleased with the results each time. They’re based out of the New River Gorge.

Rock and Resole out here in Boulder, CO does a phenomenal job. They have a great reputation in the pro and non-pro climbing community here. They allow you to choose the thickness and brand of the rubber you want. (Stealth HF, XS Grip, etc…). If you have worn into the rand, they will put a toe cap on first. They did a stellar job resoling my Testarossas. There was no change in the fit or feel. They also did an overnight resole for a friend’s Testarossas who was in town from Chicago. Top notch.

I would NOT recommend Marmot Mountain Works They ‘lost’ my shoes, but found them again 2 months later, and still charged me for the resole and shipping (altho they gave me a free fix for the rand). They did a good job tho…but what good is a resole job if you don’t get your shoes back?

I’ve got my Scarpas at East Side Shoe Repair up in Madison (WI) right now. I’ll let you guys know how it works out. They’re charging me only $45 for rand repair and half sole which seems like a great deal (I had my parents drop them off, so I’m not paying for any shipping).

Edit: Stealth C4 and Vibram are the “sole” options. Couldn’t resist the pun :)
