5.12s/V6s/V7s

Tags: 5.12, V6, V7

I think the FP climbers are generally stronger than ever before. Expect to see more 5.12s on our ropes and more V6s and V7s. I’ve squeezed a couple more columns into our bouldering chart for the barage of harder problems.

real world 5.12s, that is!

With outdoor season just around the corner I’m looking forward to getting on some harder rope routes, and running laps on some easier one for some endurance training. We shold try to set a 12 that’s not just the arete.

As far as bouldering, “Digital Waffle Pile” (v4) has a start that could hit a v6ish variation if the difficuly could be sustained. Looking forward to working some stuff tonight.

I set a problem today called “It’s all about the Washington’s” dedicated to the legend featured below. I’m thinking it’s a V6+/V7-. I’ll be there tomorrow to work it fresh.

Hells yeah. He’ll save children, but not the British children.

Let me lay it on the line he had two on the vine. So divine.

When I reset the first few routes on rope #5 (early March) I wanted to make harder the earlier hard routes that had been worked by climbers, and make them a bit harder.

5.9+ became 5.10c 5.10d became 5.12a

I think these are good projects for those of you who took on the earlier routes.

Yes, I’m in agreement, we have some climbers that are really advancing and it would be great to get some more difficult routes set up. Something that would take awhile to nail down…

Max, One of those “harder rope routes” you were looking to climb now that the season is here would be the 12c on rope 5. If George Washington was here he’d climb it.
