Never thought I get to say something like this: a little fire broke out in the high-rise I live in last week. The transformer blew out in basement, and sent smoke up the air ducts to all floors. It really was not too grave a situation, as no one was in serious physical danger. However, a lot of the residents were out and about, leaving their pets inside the building when the fire broke out. We were not there (nor was our beagle) when it happened, but I was told that emergency personnel entered each apartment to make sure all pets were taken to safety. It is a huge building with lot’s of furry residents…so we at 3930 Pine Grove salute to all involved in this rescue mission!
