I had never heard of this variation of a dogfight until I read this article.

Apparently people put trained attack dogs in a pit with wild hogs to see how quickly the dog can pin down the often defenseless hog (they routinely remove the hogs’ tusks before fights to provide an advantage to the dogs). This is just another example of people using animal cruelty as a form of sick entertainment to the obvious detriment of all animals involved. I hope the legislative crackdown continues until this practice has been completely stopped.
