We just sent VE some Trango and E-grips schwag for prizes at the comp. Should be a good time.

I am psyched for this VE comp. I’ve never been to a competition there. Anyone know how crowded it gets. I’m sure it’s crazy. Are there any gear sales? I may sign up for geriatric and take Miguel’s crown. SENDFIESTA!!!

Still debating about this… I’m working Friday night and Sunday morning, so I’ll probably have to pass. Sounds like a kick ass time though. Anybody know when the next one is?

Next VE comp? Probably next Fall/Winter for the ABS series.

Free to spectate so I’m going to try and make it out there if I can find my way from the Metra stop. I’d love to see how the format and comp as a whole works. Never been to VE anyway so should be a good time and really hope to see some of you fools around on Sat….

I’ll be belaying, so will see you there Dave. We will probably stay around after the comp to try some of the routes out too :-)

Hey Miguel, how was the comp? An unfortunate set of circumstances kept me from making it out there so I guess next year will have to be soon enough…

The comp was a good time. Very casual and chill, at least more so than I expected. It was nice to see and meet climbers from other gyms. Too bad I didn’t get to stay for the finals (also due an unfortunate set of circumstances). But then again, we can always just ask Alex and Greg climb those last two routes :-)

I am definitely going to VE this coming weekend to try some of these routes out. A lot of them exude pure awesomeness…

Yeah, there’s definitely a lot I’m looking forward to finishing/projecting. A lot of good lead climbs to try too that were top rope for the comp.
