I am humbled (as always)watching this type of climbing video (was “objectively” rooting for the Filipino dude). This route seemed doable if I am allowed to use ice climbing boots w/ crampons, a ladder, and a minimum of a hundred moves.
A couple months ago Mike (MDUB) and I had a few toe-hang routesetting ideas on the table and (at least for a day) “in play”. They pretty much defy ratings (not that either of us really care about or acknowlege ratings)—because they are so shoe-style dependant (rubberized Santa’s elf shoes work the best)—but generally the easier ones come in around V17+, so we didn’t leave them up.
Okay, that toe-hang problem was rediculous!
