Actually, cats are able to swim, they just don’t attempt it often because most cats don’t like water. Certain breeds do like water though, like the Turkish Vans which are also called Swimming Cats. Check out this video of a cat swimming across a little stream: YouTube video link |

Turkish Van cats often do like water and swimming, and some other breeds like Maine Coons enjoy playing in water. |
